    <\/strong>On May 13, 2025, Head Constable Mithun Dhende<\/strong> tragically lost his life while performing traffic regulation duties in Vadgaon Maval, Pune. Citizens had alerted the police about a dangerously driven truck (HR 74 B 3677), prompting police to intervene. Dhende and his team successfully halted the truck near Pooja Hotel, but the driver, instead of cooperating, deliberately rammed into Dhende<\/strong>, causing fatal injuries. Dhende was declared dead at Pavana Hospital. Based on the complaint by traffic warden Kundlik Sutar, a case has been registered under BNS 103(1) (attempt to murder) and other sections. The accused \u2013 Rohan Khan<\/strong> (driver from Haryana) and Umar Mohammad<\/strong> (cleaner from UP) \u2013 have been arrested with assistance from Pimpri-Chinchwad police.
